Welcoming cheqd to the Web of Trust Map!

The Web of Trust Map results from a research initiative that started in 2022, focusing on government-affiliated decentralized identity projects. The map visualizes more than 270 decentralized identity projects and 35 consortia that endorse Decentralized ID technology. It provides a comprehensive overview of the projects, organizations, and individuals driving this technology forward, offering valuable insights into the ecosystem’s rapid growth.

cheqd’s Role as Co-Contributor

As a co-contributor, cheqd played a key role in testing, providing functional feedback, and verifying data within the Web of Trust Map. This involved reviewing projects, connections, and individuals visualized in the map to ensure accuracy. This contribution reflects a shared commitment to advancing decentralized identity technology and fostering greater trust in the ecosystem.

“cheqd understood that SSI was the future before anyone else saw it. It is our pleasure to launch the map with their backing, in the same way that we have since cheqd’s inception,”
— Nicholas Racz, Senior Partner at Key State Capital

Through this collaboration, cheqd and Key State Capital reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the decentralized identity space. By contributing to the Web of Trust Map, cheqd helps enhance the visibility of decentralized identity initiatives, ensuring that policymakers, investors, and researchers have a reliable and insightful resource to navigate this evolving field. As the industry continues to expand, these partnerships will be instrumental in shaping the future of trust, security, and self-sovereign identity on a global scale.
